    Create seasonal or general use cards while learning at least two new techniques each class. Supplies, instruction, and two awesome cards/envelopes are yours to take home. All 4th Tuesday classes are from 6-8 p.m. at paper & i in downtown Marshall. New for 2015! Receive a 10% discount on paper crafting purchases on the night of the class.

    The Knights of Columbus is holding a fish fry every Friday throughout Lent. The event is held at St. Mary Parish Hall located at 201 South Grand in Marshall, Michigan. This all- you-can-eat  meal includes fish (fried or baked), macaroni and cheese, salad, baked beans, onion rings and dessert. Beverages include coffee, tea or juice. The dinners are held from Friday, February 20th through Friday, March 27, 2015. Come to St. Mary Parish Hall between 5p.m. and 7 p.m. each Friday for this delicious meal and spend time with your friends as you dine. This public is welcome...

    The Fountain Clinic's newest fundraiser will feature handmade arts and crafts produced by area artisans many of which are designed expressly for your garden. The event will take place at the Marshall High School gymnasium from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Deadline to apply is February 16, 2015.

    Corn Beef & Cabbage Dinner & Auction

    The public is invited to the Fredonia Grange Hall for a corn beef and cabbage dinner. This fund raiser will help buy dictionaries for the area third graders. Marshall, Albion, Homer, Tekonsha, Bellevue and Springport elementaries will receive dictionaries for each of their third graders from the Marshall Fredonia Grange. Come eat corn beef and cabbage and support this wonderful event, "WORDS FOR THIRDS," on March 21, 2015 at the grange hall.

    The Calhoun County Senior Services is hosting this annual senior fair on Thursday, April 9th, 2015 at the Marshall Middle School Gymnasium from 10:00 am-1:30 pm This free event will showcase local businesses and public services of special interest to alder adults, caregivers and family members.  Two presentations will be made: County Prosecutor David Gilbert will talk about financial fraud at 10:30 a.m. and Judge Phillip Harter will discuss probate issues at 12:30 pm.     On this glorious night, students led by Jed Fritzemeier from Chelsea High School, will entertain us with a high energy performance of Celtic music (mixed with other genres). Give the performers an A for being simply amazing. Come with your friends and enjoy this concert on April 18, 2015 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $16 for adults and $8 for students.

    Blues saxophonist Eddie Shaw learned music in Greenville and performed in various local bands before moving to Chicago to join the Muddy Waters band. Shaw served as band leader for Howlin' Wolf and launched his own touring career after Wolf's death in 1976. His hard-hitting work won him Instrumentatlist of the Year in the 2006 and 2007 Blues Music Awards.
